The Department of Agriculture (DA) has assured anew that the outbreak of the African swine fever (ASF) has been contained.

In an interview on Radyo Pilipinas’s Cabinet Report sa Teleradyo Saturday, Secretary William Dar allay the fears of the public and said pork is safe to eat.

Dar reiterated that products with meat inspection certificates are safe for human consumption.

The DA chief likewise maintained that ASF has no effect on human health. “Wala namang mangyayari, hindi naman transferable disease.”
