Here comes the Queenie? PCOO exec eyed to replace Roque

Should he decide to run for an elective post in 2019, Harry Roque wants Communications Assistant Secretary Rachel Queenie Rodulfo to replace him as presidential spokesperson.
“Isa lang po ang irerekomenda ko, someone from the rank and file, Assistant Secretary Queenie Rodulfo. If at all, but I’m not sure. Sa akin lang naman kahit ano I give preference to career,” Roque said on Wednesday.
Asked why she chose Rodulfo, currently on study leave, the spokesman said, “She’s the only other person who got a title in my office.”
Rodulfo, a former television staff, is actually an appointee of President Duterte in the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO), not a career executive.
But Roque maintained he has yet to talk to President Rodrigo Duterte about his possible bid for Senate.
“I have no decision yet. I have not talked to the President. But as a presidential appointee, the first person I should talk to for whatever plans I may have should be the President,” he explained.
Rodulfo for her part said she was honored to be considered by Roque as his possible replacement.
“Mere vouching from the very competent and incomparable spokesperson is a privilege in itself. It is my hope though that he stays in his present post because we need honest and effective persons like him in the government,” she said in a statement.
