Senator Manny Pacquiao’s real estate agent has taken P1 billion off the asking price of his Forbes Park mansion to make it more attractive to buyers, particularly in the foreign market.
Philippine Star columnist Victor Agustin wrote Tuesday (May 4) that Bela Realty is advertising Pacquiao’s five-bedroom home on the online luxury marketplace James Edition for $21.5 million or P1.035 billion.
The ad on JamesEdition listed a London phone number for inquiries, a sign that the eight-division world boxing champ is looking at foreigners to buy his property amid the pandemic.
Agustin, however, noted that local listings for Pacquiao’s mansion on the website Lamudi still pegged the asking price at P2 billion and P1.8 billion.
“The 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom, 10-car garage house along Cambridge Circle was first listed in early February 2020 just before the first lockdown for P2 billion, then relisted three months later in another website for P1.5 billion, before being migrated to Lamudi with the two higher price tags,” the columnist explained.
Pacquiao is reportedly renting a house at the “more affordable” Dasmarinas Village in Makati as he hopes to find a buyer for his Forbes Park mansion.
