A Malacañang communication official got her first dose of coronavirus vaccine.
Lorraine Badoy, Undersecretary of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO), posted on Facebook about her vaccination and thanked China for developing the vaccine.
She was thrilled to get vaccinated with vaccine developed by China’s Sinovac.
“I’m a doctor this morning! How I’ve missed it,” she wrote on Facebook.
“Today I jab. And today I get jabbed for my 1st dose of Sinovac. Yey! Thank you China for this gift you have given to humanity,” she said.
The government rolled out its vaccination drive last March, prioritizing health workers, seniors and those with comorbidities. More than 1.5 million people have received their shots against the coronavirus so far. The country’s vaccine supply is composed mostly of doses developed by Sinovac and AstraZeneca.
