Bahala kayo! Duterte said it’s up to Filipinos if they want to follow ‘idiots’ like Colmenares, Pamatong
"Basta ako sabi ko sa akin it’s up to the Filipino people. If you decide to listen to the insane, Pamatong and company, pati ‘yung congressman diyan, eh ‘di doon kayo. If you have a better idea o 'yung nagmamarunong makinig ninyo sa --- 'yung sa TV. Hayaan mo sige sabihin mo sa kanila, they can come here and I can turn over," he added
President Rodrigo Duterte said Filipinos should not listen to “idiots” like Bayan Muna Rep. Neri Colmenares and abogado Elly Pamatong for trying to be know-it-alls while putting down government efforts to contain the pandemic and feed the locked down Filipinos.
“Alam mo kung hindi kayo makinig and if you persist on listening to the idiots of this world, itong mga Pilipino, talagang madali ang pagbabagsak natin. We are trying to save not only the economy but the country,” said Duterte in a press conference last April 8.
“I am not asking you to help the economy, wala kayong maitulong pati ako. So you just try to — you know, do something that is not precipitate statement that would cause trouble na manggaling doon ang problema kasi mahihirapan na tuloy tayo,” he added.
Colmenares has criticized Duterte for refusing to realign P300 billion in the 2020 budget to finance the COVID weeks after getting emergency powers from Congress. Pamatong has been spreading rumors that Duterte has fallen ill to a heart attack or COVID-19 and offered to replace him since he could not stop the virus.
“If you still want a quarrel, go ahead. I said, there will be a time for that kung mag-survive tayo. You can keep criticizing pero alam ng taong-bayan — alam na ng Pilipino ano itong COVID at ano ‘yung hakbang ng gobyerno at importante ito,” said Duterte.
“Basta ako sabi ko sa akin it’s up to the Filipino people. If you decide to listen to the insane, Pamatong and company, pati ‘yung congressman diyan, eh ‘di doon kayo. If you have a better idea o ‘yung nagmamarunong makinig ninyo sa — ‘yung sa TV. Hayaan mo sige sabihin mo sa kanila, they can come here and I can turn over,” he added.
