There are still few Filipinos tourists taking trips abroad despite the lifting of restrictions, Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente said on Thursday (Oct. 22).
“The number of travelers remain low,” Jaime Morente said in a statement.
“It could mean that Filipinos still feel hesitant to travel internationally during the pandemic,” said Morente.
Morente said the government has already allowed Filipinos to non-essential travel abroad starting Oct. 21.
However, the immigration chief cited that only 95 Filipinos left using tourist visas.
