Senator Nancy Binay has expressed concern about the growing complaints of voting machine malfunction and other irregularities on Election Day and called for an investigation into the matter.

Binay made the proposal after her father former Vice President Jejomar Binay’s voting was delayed amid problems with the vote counting machines. Binay, who is running for congressman in his home district of Makati City, was eventually able to cast his vote after his first ballot was rejected by the machine.

“Nakakabahala na ang nagiging problema sa VCMs and overall process ng pagboto. I call on the Comelec en banc maybe it’s time you start investigating ngayon pa lang kung bakit ang daming kaso ng aberya,” the senator tweeted.
