Baraan admits links to two ‘Susans’, but says none of them are bagmen
Former Justice Undersecretary Francisco Baraan III had admitted to knowing not one, but two “Susans”. However it’s not the kind of Susan that convicted drug lord Herbert “Ampang” Colanggo was talking about.
Baraan, in a statement, said that he neither knew these two people personally nor had he used them as “bagmen”.
During Tuesday’s (September 20) House inquiry on the proliferation of illegal drugs at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP), Colanggo, an inmate of the facility, testified that Baraan collected money in exchange for the transfers of prisoners at the national penitentiary and used a bagman named Susan.
“What he claimed is a total impossibility insofar as I am concerned,” Baraan said of Colanggo.
“What I am certain of is that I do not have -with either of them – that kind of dealing that Colanggo generally described in his outlandish claim,” insisted Baraan, referring to the two Susans.
These two women were apparently employees at his former office at the DOJ.
