Bato Dela Rosa fumes as ‘ninja cops’ still abound: Dapat pinagpapapatay na mga g*go!
Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa is furious at reports that erring policemen or so called “ninja cops” remain in active service despite the administration’s fight against corruption.
In an interview over dwIZ radio Saturday (September 21), Dela Rosa said he used to send cops suspected of wrongdoing to Mindanao even if there was no evidence against them.
Pressed to react to former police general Benjamin Magalong’s claim that some “ninja cops” are also involved in the illegal drug trade, the senator said: “Kung tuloy pa rin talaga, matigas ulo mga gago, sira ulo. Dapat pinagpapatay na.”
Magalong testified during the Senate hearing on the alleged corruption inside the Bureau of Corrections this week that some police officers “recycle” the illegal drugs they seize from traders by selling them.
He said there was also a case he investigated in which policemen received a P50-million bribe from a syndicate to release the Chinese drug lord they arrested.
