Bato won’t appeal US visa cancellation: Baka magmukha tayong kawawa!
Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa isn’t keen on appealing the rumored cancellation of his tourist visa by the United States government.
Dela Rosa told reporters Monday (December 16) that the Philippines might look pitiful if he asks the US embassy for reconsideration.
Politiko reported that the US government cancelled the senator’s visa in May this year. A source told Politiko that Dela Rosa’s visa was cancelled over his alleged involvement in the supposed extrajudicial killings of drug suspects as PNP chief.
The senator said US authorities are “misinformed” if they based the cancellation of his visa on the drug-related killings which happened under his helm at the PNP.
“They are misinformed, misled by their informants. Masasagot niyo ‘yan,” he said.
Despite his dismay over being unable to visit the US again, Dela Rosa acknowledged that the grant of visa is a privilege.
