Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) personnel manning the quarantine site at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City won’t be allowed to leave for 21 days to ensure that the 2019 coronavirus (COVID-19) won’t be spread.

NBP Hospital chief Dr. Henry Fabro gave this directive as part of BuCor’s measures against COVID-19.

“There will also be a designated quarter for all duty personnel at Site Harry,” the BuCor said in a statement.

“This is designed as their quarantine area for 21 days to further protect their families from being infected and to prevent the spread of virus,” it explained.

With this, the BuCor assured that all of its frontliners will be “given proper assistance especially at this moment of crisis.”

It also assured “the delivery of more safe and appropriate care to PDL especially to all Covid19 positive PDL.”

BuCor earlier reported that a person deprived of liberty (PDL) has been transferred to the quarantine site after being found positive with COVID-19.

The BuCor also transferred to the quarantine site 18 female PDLs of the Correctional Institute for Women who also have COVID-19.
