Bayanihan: Robredo sends food packs to stranded persons in NAIA, Villamor air base, Baclaran church
The bayanihan spirit is alive during the coronavirus lockdown.
Vice President Leni Robredo has deployed her team to extend food assistance to commuters stranded in some parts of Metro Manila. Robredo’s staff distributed 750 food packs to stranded persons staying
at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Villamor air base, and Redemptorist Church also known as Baclaran Church.
Based on the photos posted by the Office of the Vice President, people were seen lining up for the food aid to help ease their burden while waiting for their rides back home. Baclaran Church has also provided temporary shelter to several stranded commuters, offering cot beds inside the place of worship.
Church,” Robredo’s staff wrote on Facebook.
kani-kanilang mga probinsya,” it added.
According to the OVP, the food packs have been prepared by AngatBuhay partners to support the people affected by the coronavirus crisis.
