BI officers in Clark, Davao, Zamboanga ports test negative for COVID-19
Bureau of Immigration (BI) Commissioner Jaime Morente said immigration officers assigned at the international ports in Clark, Davao and Zamboanga remain free from the COVID-19 virus.
Morente said in a statement that around 170 BI officers assigned at the three airports tested negative for COVID-19 after undergoing rapid antibody tests.
Among them, 128 personnel assigned at the Clark airport in Angeles City underwent testing on June 23.
Also found free from COVID after rapid antibody tests were also 30 BI personnel at the Davao City airport who were tested on June 7 and another 12 at the Zamboaga port who got tested on June 18.
The tests were made after Morente issued a June 5 memorandum which ordered the mandatory testing of the BI’s more than 3,000 BI officials and employees nationwide.
