Anakalusugan party-list Rep. Mike Defensor is fed up with criticism over his incessant attacks against ABS-CBN.
Defensor on Saturday (July 11) challenged his Facebook friends to “unfriend” him if they will keep on tagging him in social media posts critical of how lawmakers voted on ABS-CBN’s franchise application.
The party-list lawmaker was among the 70 lawmakers who voted to deny ABS-CBN’s franchise bid.
“WALA namang problema kung iba ang PANANAW mo. Mag POST ka hanggang gusto mo at hindi kita PAKIKIALAMAN. Pero yung magta- TAG ka pa at magle LECTURE ay TIGILAN mo ako. If you VIOLENTLY disagree with me, all you have to do is click the BUTTON to UNFRIEND me,” Defensor said in a Facebook post.
The lawmaker said he would rather have “true and genuine” friends on Facebook instead of those critical of his stand on ABS-CBN.
“Some friends have tagged me as if they’re the only ones who have an understanding of Philippine society, our HISTORY and FUTURE as a NATION. Parang sila lang ang NAKAKA- INTINDI ng nangyayari sa BANSA at pag hindi mo SINUNOD ang pag-iisip nila ay MALI ka. SILA lang ang TAMA,” he said.
Defensor had said in congressional hearings on ABS-CBN was undeserving to be granted a new franchise due to its alleged legal violations.
