Biñan court goes on lockdown after staff gets COVID-19
The Supreme Court (SC) a court in Binan, Laguna has to temporarily go on lockdown after one of its employees tested positive for the COVID-19 disease.
“Biñan Laguna, RTC Branch 152, physically closed for 14 days starting August 7, 2020,” it said in its latest Twitter post on Saturday (Aug. 8).
The SC said that Binan Executive Judge Teodoro Solis has already issued a directive concerning the closure.
Solis explained the decision was made to close it after “one of its employees was tested positive for corona-19 infection after RT-PCR (reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction) test.”
Despite this, Solis assured that “court operations shall continue and the said court can be contacted through their judiciary email.”
The magistrate added the court may also “conduct video conference hearings and accept pleadings through electronic filing pursuant to existing circulars.”
