Bokya kay Leni! PSG whisks Imee away after greeting Duterte

Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos ended up being relegated to the sidelines during the commemoration of the National Heroes’ Day at the Libingan ng mga Bayani (LNMB) Monday (August 28) after the Presidential Security Group (PSG) moved her away from President Rodrigo Duterte.

During the arrival honors, Imee was standing at Duterte’s right side to greet him. The President stopped walking to greet the governor while Vice President Leni Robredo, who was opposite him, continued to walk straight.

After exchanging pleasantries, Duterte began walking again while members of the PSG moved Imee away from the aisle. A few seconds later, the President and Robredo caught up with each other and walked together.

Imee visited the LNMB with her mother, former First Lady and now Ilocos Norte Rep. Imelda Marcos, to visit the tomb of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos.
