Bong Go dares narco politikos: Show proof of your innocence
By Marie P. Ruiz
Former Special Assistant to the President , now senatorial aspirant Bong Go called on politicians in the narco list to clean up their acts or prove that they are innocent.
Go made the statement following the release of the names of at least 46 local government officials allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade.
He said it would be best if the alleged narco politicians voluntarily cooperate with authorities.
Go said if those in the narco list assert that they are innocent, they should present concrete evidence to clear their names.
Go likewise warned politicans or candidates with links to illegal drugs to stay away from him .
Meanwhile, Go said if given a chance to serve the people as Senator, he would help further fine-tune the government’s strategy against illegal drugs, by batting for additonal funds for the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency an the establishment of more rehabilitation and reformation centers.
Go is also seeking amendments to existing laws to deprive drug syndicates the opportunity to exploit minors as drug couriers.
