PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur – Administration senatorial candidate and former Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Christopher Lawrence ‘Bong’ Go said he is willing to teach former Bangsamoro Transisition Committee member and Otso Diretso candidate Samira Gutoc how to drive a jet ski.
Go made the offer after Gutoc and other Otso Diretso senatorial candiates visited Masinloc, Zambales to press the country’s ownership of the West Philippine Sea amid a dispute with China. The senatorial aspirants also urged President Rodrigo Duterte to keep his 2016 campaign promise to ride a jet ski to assert the country’s claim in the West Philippine Sea.
According to Go, he is willing to teach Gutoc how to properly use and maneuver a jet-ski after the opposition candidate was criticized over her supposed publicity stunt.
The Marawi civic leader rode a jet ski for posterity during the Masinloc visit. She was reportedly panned for not wearing a life jacket while on the jet ski.
“Sanay po akong mag-jetski, sasamahan ko siya. Tuturuan ko, tuturuan ko (siya),” said Go.
In his Facebook post, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) chair J. Prospero de Vera took swipe at Gutoc and Otso Diretso’s supposed publicity stunt just to gain media mileage.
“Babala: Mas mabilis malunod pag baliktad ang life vest at di nakatali,” said De Vera.
