Bong Go tells Globe, Smart to provide fast, reliable internet service: ‘Kahit ako nahihirapan sa internet connection’
The duopoly of Globe Telecoms and Smart Communications got another reminder from President Duterte’s former aide to improve the telco service.
Senator Bong Go told the telecommunication companies to provide fast and reliable internet connection after encountering their poor service.
Go said he has faced difficulty in getting a stable internet connection that affects his work at the Senate.
The President has warned of a government takeover of the telcos if they cannot improve the service by December.
Duterte however recently found out the government is partly to blame for the country’s poor internet connectivity. The telcos have reportedly been required to get many permits and documents before their application for building cell towers are approved by local government officials.
