Senator Bong Revilla is giving a special birthday tribute to former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
Arroyo, who served as the country’s president from 2001 to 2010, turned 74 on April 5. The former House Speaker currently serves as Presidential Adviser on Clark Programs and Projects.
Revilla posted a birthday greeting to Arroyo via Facebook and wished her good health. He said the country was lucky to have Arroyo as a public servant.
“Happy 74th birthday po Ma’am PGMA!” the senator said.
“Mapalad po ang bansa na nagkaroon ng pinunong katulad niyo, na hanggang ngayon ay abala sa pag-iisip kung papaano pabubutihin ang pamumuhay ng bawat Pilipino,” he said.
Revilla also thanked Arroyo for the trust and confidence in him, calling the former leader as one of his mentors.
“Maraming salamat po sa tiwalang ibinigay niyo sa aking kakayahan at inyong paggabay at suporta sa aking paglilingkod sa bayan. I am greatly honored to have you as one of my mentors,” he said.
Revilla is impressed with Arroyo’s brand of service marked by wisdom and heart. He said he hopes Arroyo will remain a blessing to the nation.
“Many can only aspire for your wisdom, leadership, and heart, which has altogether been the brand of your service,” he said.
“I pray that God would continuously bless you with good health and many more years so that you contInue to be a blessing to others and to the country,” he added.
