Bongbong Marcos: GMA an asset to Duterte admin; PNoy lucky to succeed her
Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is certain that the country is in good hands with former President and now Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
Marcos, in his latest vlog, acknowledged that Arroyo and her economic background would be an asset to the Duterte government.
The country managed to survive the global financial crisis in 2008 due to the fiscal reforms instituted by the former leader, that supposedly allowed the Aquino administration reap the economic gains.
“No matter what your political leanings were when GMA was President, whether you were for her or you were against her, whether you were a critic or you were a supporter, I think you can clearly see it is those structures, institutions that she set up when she was President that allowed us to take full advantage of asia’s place as emerging markets in view of the collapse financial markets and different economies in Europe and the United states,” he said.
“If not for that, the Aquino presidency would not have been so lucky,” he added.
