Bring it on! Trillanes ready to face ethics complaint
Senator Antonio Trillanes IV is unruffled by the threat of Senator Richard Gordon to file an ethics complaint against him.
Trillanes could face disciplinary action by the Senate ethics and privileges committee for his alleged unparliamentary language and acts during Thursday’s hearing of the blue ribbon committee.
“I will welcome that (ethics case). Anyway he has always threatened me with ethics complaint in the past but did pursue it. Kasi wala namang basis eh. Puro lang dakdak eh. Sa akin, sige i-file mo na para tumigil na yung pagdadakdak,” he said.
Trillanes said the public saw how the committee is being mishandled by Gordon, the latter turning “irrational” in dealing with the issue on the alleged involvement of Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte and presidential son-in-law Atty. Manases “Mans” Carpio, husband of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.
Trillanes said there seems to be a special treatment of sort when it comes to Carpio and the vice mayor as the committee chair is not keen in calling on the two to appear and testify before them.
“(As far as Gordon is concerned he has) zero credibility. Wala lang akong magagawa because I’m part of the minority but I have been calling for Gordon be replaced as blue ribbon committee chair,” he said.
