BuCor: 13 inmates recover from COVID-19
Thirteen persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) have recovered from the deadly 2019 coronavirus (COVID-19), said the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor).
“This positive development inspires our health workers and our PDLs to work more for effective management of this COVID-19 crisis as we continue to strengthen our COVID-19 isolation prevention control protocol,” the BuCor said in a statement.
The BuCor noted that the 13 PDLs “undergone two consecutive swab testing with negative results.”
“After their recovery was declared, they were brought back to their respective security camps,” it said.
Meanwhile, the BuCor assured it is doing “all means and ways to suppress the virus inside the prison facility are being undertaken to save lives and to protect the larger community.”
