Vice President Leni Robredo isn’t in a hurry to return to her office or have other public engagements despite testing negative for COVID-19.
In a Facebook post Thursday (April 22), Robredo explained that she had been advised by the doctor to spend 10 days in quarantine. She had been in isolation for seven days before receiving her negative COVID-19 test result.
“Even if I tested Negative already, I was advised by our doctor to finish at least the 10-day minimum quarantine period. The 8 days passed by so swiftly because we’re all immersed with our Bayanihan E-Konsulta operations,” the Vice President said.
Robredo had to go on self-quarantine last week after her bodyguard tested positive for COVID-19. She was identified as a close contact since they were together several times at work.
The Vice President’s receipt of her negative test result coincided with the birthday of the family dog.
“The minute I got the result, I went down to greet a Happy Birthday to our Rocco [smiley with a party hat emoji]. He is 5 now. Time really flies,” she said.
