The Butuan City Hall of Justice (HOJ) is set to be closed for two-days at the end of the month to undergo disinfection against the COVID-19 virus, the Supreme Court (SC) said.
In a memorandum, Deputy Court Administrator Leo Madrazo said the SC’s Office of the Court Administrator (OCA) has granted the requests of Butuan City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Acting Executive Judge Marigel Dagani-Hugo and Municipal Trial Courts in Cities (MTCC) Executive Judge Francis Rafil for the HOJ to be closed from Oct. 29 to 30 for the conduct of a disinfection.
“This authority shall be valid from 29 to 30 October, unless sooner revoked by this Office,” read Madrazo’s memorandum.
Madreazo told the magistrates that during the two days “the operation of all courts stationed therein shall continue to enforce a work-from-home arrangement and the conduct of videoconferencing hearings from your residence is likewise granted for said duration of time.”
“Relative thereto, you are hereby directed to strictly observe the relevant provisions on the use of video conferencing technology and the significant provision on the Rules on Electronic Evidence,” he advised.
