The Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3 project is now complete after nearly four years of construction.
Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar announced on Facebook the completion of the road, saying it will improve travel time between North Luzon Expressway and South Luzon Expressway.
“Can’t believe that after almost four years, the 18-km Skyway Stage 3 expressway is now complete,” he wrote on Facebook.
“Soon, travel time from NLEX to SLEX will be reduce from 2 hours to only 30 minutes. #BuildBuildBuild,” he said.
Villar shared a drone video of the massive Skyway Stage 3 project, one of the flagship projects of the Duterte administration.
The elevated expressway project, reportedly worth P37.43 billion, connects Buendia, Makati City to the North Luzon Expressway in Balintawak, Quezon City with a length of about 18.83 kilometers. It is expected to decongest EDSA and other major roads by as much as 55,000 vehicles daily.
