President Rodrigo Duterte can’t wait to go back to the Philippines to tackle the case of two generals involved in illegal drugs.
“And right now, even as I fly here and go back. There are about again two generals who are still playing with drugs. And I said, ‘Well, I told you do not destroy my country because it is being flooded with drugs’,” said Duterte a forum by a Russian think-tank in Sochi with Russia President Vladimir Putin in attendance.
Duterte did not identify the two generals. “I found out about nine generals were involved in the trafficking of drugs.” He only named five – retired Deputy Director Gen. Marcelo Garbo; retired Chief Supt. and now Daanbantayan, Cebu Mayor Vicente Loot; Police Director Joel Pagdilao; and Chief Superintendents Edgardo Tinio and Bernardo Diaz.
Duterte said drugs could only prosper with the help of the military and police.
