“These include alleged violations of labor, tax, and even constitutional law. By all means, let your voices of support for your network be heard. But if you really want to join the public debate, find it in your indignation to also support due process and fact finding as this issue is imbued with public interest – not just yours,” he added.
Martin led ABS-CBN’s stars in lambasting President Rodrigo Duterte, the House of Representative, National Telecommunications Commission and the Office of the Solicitor General after ABS-CBN was forcibly yanked off the air a day after its franchise expired on May 4.
In his viral Facebook video. Martin said:“Hindi labanan ’to ng diplomasya. Binarubal na tayo. Tinarantado na tayo. Kinuha na iyong bahay natin. Anong ie-expect natin? Pagdadasal natin sila? Pinagdasal na natin sila. Tiniis na natin sila. Dapat kumilos na tayo. Magsalita tayo,” he said.
“Kasi kung lahat tayo mananahimik, aabusuhin tayo niyan . . . Kasi ito iyong pagkakataon natin. Wala na tayong trabaho. Ano ang iingatan natin?” he added.
