The leaders of two warring gangs at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) have promised to Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) Director General Gerald Bantag to end their feud.
The BuCor said in a statement that the leaders of Sigue Sigue Spurnik (SSS) and Sigue Sigue Commando (SSC) gave their words during thier meeting with Bantag last Monday (Oct. 12).
“Both leaders promised to finally put an end to their feud and to maintain and peace and harmony among their members,” the BuCor said.
“Both parties also gave their assurance that the brawl incident never happen again,” it added.
Last Friday (Oct. 14), a fight broke out between the SSS and SSC gangs in Qudrant 4 of the Maximum Security Compound of the Bilibid.
The right left nine inmates dead and seven others hurt.
The BuCor did not cite the reason for the fight.
