Chief Justice Sereno is Ateneo de Manila’s commencement speaker for Batch 2017


Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno will be addressing the members of the Ateneo de Manila University’s batch 2017 ahead of their commencement exercises on May 26.

According to an advisory released by ADMU, Sereno will speak to the graduates after the baccalaureate mass at the Ateneo High School’s covered courts in the morning.

The commencement exercises for the School of Humanities and the School of Social Sciences will be held in the afternoon in the same venue.

Meanwhile, the graduation rites for the John Gokongwei School of Management and the School of Science and Engineering will be held the following day, May 27.

Sereno obtained her undergraduate degree in economics from ADMU in 1980. Four years later, she graduated as the class valedictorian from the University of the Philippines College of Law.

She also earned a Master of Laws from the University of Michigan Law School in 1993.
