Close pa rin! Duterte appoints Tonyboy Floirendo’s ex-wife to CCP

President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Miss Universe 1973 Margie Moran as a member of the Cultural Center of the Philippines Board of Trustees.

Duterte signed Moran’s appointment paper on January 4. She will serve until June 30.

Moran is the former wife of Davao Del Norte Rep. Antonio “Tonyboy” Floirendo Jr., who was Duterte’s biggest campaign donor in the 2016 elections.

Floirendo was ousted from the ruling PDP-Laban in October last year for allegedly violating the party’s rules.

He, however, slammed his expulsion as a result of “authoritarianism” since he figured in a spat with House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez.
