Former Bayan Muna Rep. Neri Colmenares has called out a military official for allegedly red-tagging him and his family.
Colmenares has dared Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr. to charge him in court if he has proof he is a member of the New People’s Army. He also asked the military officer not to drag his family in his alleged red-tagging spree.
“Gen. Parlade kasuhan mo ako kung tingin mo totoong npa ako. hwag mong isama kamaganak at pamilya ko sa red tagging mo. Foul yon,” the former lawmaker tweeted.
Parlade earlier warned two celebrities Liza Soberano and Catriona Gray against getting involved with a militant women’s group. He asked the two ladies not to follow the path of Ella Colmenares who supposedly joined the NPA movement.
“The choice is yours Liza. And so with you Catriona. Don’t follow the path Ka Ella Colmenares (Locsin) took in the underground and NPA Quezon. I am sure Angel Locsin and Neri Colmenares will not tell you this,” Parlade said
His statement was posted on the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict’s (NTF-ELCAC) Facebook page.
