Coronavirus kindness: Pimentel donates protective gear to frontliners
The coronavirus pandemic has inspired good deeds across the country.
Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III is among those showing generosity by giving protective gear to health workers and other frontliners in the fight against the pandemic.
The senator recently donated face masks and other medical supplies to a hospital in his hometown of Cagayan de Oro City.
“The Office of Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel lll donated 5,000 face masks and 500 isolation laboratory gowns to Cagayan De Oro City through Mayor Oscar S. Moreno, and to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC). The safety gears will be distributed to the frontliners and essential workers of Senator Koko’s beloved hometown,” the senator’s Facebook post read.
Recently, Pimentel also provided 9,600 face masks and 500 face shields to COVID front liners as he appreciated their hard work and service to the nation. “A big thank you to our donors – Mr. Lucio Ang, Chairman Jefferson Lau, Mr. Nelson Guevarra, Mr. Sherwin Tan, Col. Edison Nebrija, Ms. Maryvette Nebrija, Mr. Jaime Ching, and Ms. Camille Gotohio,” another Facebook post read.
More food and medical supplies were delivered to various hospitals such as Amang Rodriguez Hospital, Garcia General Hospital, Jesus Immaculate Conception Hospital, Marikina Valley Medical Center, P. Gonzales Memorial Hospital, Inc., San Ramon Hospital, SDS Medical Center Inc., St. Victoria Hospital, St. Vincent Hospital, St. Mattheus Medical Hospital Inc.(San Mateo, Rizal), Calalang General Hospital (Valenzuela).
