President Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday admitted that he can’t entirely rid the public sector of corrupt bureaucrats.
In his weekly public address on Wednesday, Duterte again promised the public to dedicate his remaining term fighting corruption.
“I have promised the nation, I said, I would dedicate the remaining months of stay in the Office of the President going after corrupt people so that by the time na ano ma-menos menosan,” the Chief Executive said.
“Don’t expect me to entirely clean as a pristine clean bureaucracy. That is impossible and cannot really be achievable,” he added.
Duterte also read a list of officials either suspended or dismissed for corruption and other charges.
