COVID low-risk areas removed from lockdown

Low-risk coronavirus areas will no longer be under community quarantine starting May 16, according to Malacañang.

In a virtual presser Tuesday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said that President Rodrigo Duterte approved the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases’ recommendation contained in Resolution No. 35.

The following provinces and cities will be removed from lockdown:

Luzon:

-Ilocos Sur

-Marinduque

-Occidental Mindoro

-Oriental Mindoro

-Romblon

-Palawan

-Puerto Princesa City

-Camarines Norte

-Camarines Sur

-Masbate

-Sorsogon

-Naga City

Visayas:

-Aklan

-Antique

-Capiz

-Guimaras

-Iloilo

-Negros Occidental

-Iloilo City

-Bacolod City

-Biliran

-Eastern Samar

-Leyte

-Northern Samar

-Western Samar

-Southern Leyte

-Ormoc City

-Tacloban City

Mindanao:

-Bukidnon

-Camaguin

-Lanao del Norte

-Misamis Occidental

-Misamis Oriental

-Cagayan de Oro City

-North Cotabato

-South Cotabato

-Sarangani

-Sultan Kudarat

-General Santos City

-Basilan

-Lanao del Sur

-Maguindanao

-Sulu

-Tawi-Tawi

-Cotabato City

Ilocos Norte, Pangasinan, La Union, Dagupan City, Albay, and Legazpi City will be subject to reassessment.
