When he was a young cop, Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa became a certified crush ng mga kolehiyalas.

Dela Rosa, the former chief of the Philippine National Police, made women swoon with his magnetic smile and strong built. In a Facebook post, Dela Rosa revealed that he even earned the monicker “Lt. Makisig” from his adoring fans.

“Back when I was a Constabulary 2Lt, kolehiyalas in Davao used to call me Lieutenant Makisig,” Dela Rosa wrote on Facebook.

Dela Rosa is a member of the Philippine Military Academy class of 1986. He joined the police force in Davao City and worked his way to the top.

In 2016, President Duterte appointed Dela Rosa, former Davao City police chief, as PNP chief. Before he ran for senator, Dela Rosa was named head of the Bureau of Corrections.
