Da moves: Binay flirts with Davila to prove he’s healthy
Confronted by ABS-CBN’s Karen Davila regarding questions about his health, opposition leader Vice President Jejomar Binay responded by unleashing some of his “smooth moves” on the lady anchor.
In particular, Davila asked Binay if the rumors that he was receiving dialysis at home were true.
“Kaya hindi kayo nagkikitang nagpapa-ospital ay dahil mayroon daw kayo sa bahay,” she said. Binay, 73, has long been rumored to be ill.
“Lalapit na lang ako Karen para mahawakan mo kamay ko,” said the presidential hopeful, who then let the ANC anchor probe Binay’s hand and arm.
A dialysis is the process of removing waste and excess water from the blood and is used primarily as an artificial replacement for lost kidney function in people with kidney failure.
“Pinakita ko sayo hindi totoo yan,” Binay later said. “Mayor pa lang ako yan na binabato sakin. Wala po akong sakit.”
Among the ailments that Binay have allegedly suffered are diabetes, lupus and cancer.
Davila might have gained notoriety for conducting that “awkward” interview with Alma Moreno. But in Binay’s case, it was he who made the interview awkward for Davila. (Jeffrey N. Hardel)
