‘Di na hihintayin ang DOH supply: Legarda donates PPE, thermal scanners to Antique health workers

Former Senator Loren Legarda has made a personal donation to boost the personal protective equipment of health workers in her home province of Antique.

Legarda, currently congresswoman of Antique, made the donation instead of just waiting for the limited supplies from the Department of Health.

The medical supplies intended for Antique hospitals included 21,000 face masks, protective suits, goggles and thermal scanners needed to combat the spread of the coronavirus. The donation will be transported via a private flight from Manila to Antique.

“We can not wait for the limited supplies of doh to be sent to Antique. We will not allow our doctors, nurses, health frontliners to put their lives at risk. So I decided to send my personal donation of ppe for our province,” Legarda said in a post on Facebook.

21,000 masks, protective suits for our doctors and health workers, medical goggles and thermal scanners are on the way…
