Peter Joemel Advincula alias Bikoy has promised to surrender now that a Quezon City metropolitan trial court (MTC) issued a warrant for his arrest.

“Peter Advincula will voluntary surrender and would go to MTC QC on Monday or Tuesday to post bail,” said lawyer Larry Gadon, Bikoy’s counsel, on Friday (Feb. 14) .

Advincula is facing a bailable conspiracy to commit sedition case with the bail set at P10,000.

“Bikoy is in a safe house somewhere in the north as he just came from Baguio and La Trinidad to appear in the reading of a judgement in his case in La Trinidad which was dismissed,” Gadon added.

Aside from from Advincula, those also accused in the case are former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV, Police Sr. Supt. Eduardo Acierto, Peter Joemel Advincula alias Bikoy, Joel Saracho, Jonnel Sangalang, Yolanda Villanueva Ong, Vicente Romano III, Fr. Flaviano Villanueva, and Fr. Albert Alejo.

The case stemmed from the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” which featured the hooded Bikoy, who was later revealed to be Advincula, which accused Duterte family members as being involved the narcotics trade.

The Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) filed the complaint before the Department of Justice (DOJ) using the testimony of Advincula.

Advincula claimed members of the opposition were behind the videos which were meant to discredit and destabilize the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte.

The DOJ subsequently filed charges before the MTC after finding probable cause to indict the 11 accused.
