Di type ni Duterte yan! Roque gives Palace reporters condoms on Valentine’s Day
Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque didn’t want male reporters covering Malacañang to take chances on Valentine’s Day.
Roque told his staff on Wednesday (February 14) to distribute condoms to male members of the Malacañang Press Corps (MPC).
The condoms came from the Department of Health.
Female reporters, meanwhile, got roses.
President Rodrigo Duterte is an advocate of family planning, saying there’s a need to limit the number of a couple’s children due to the country’s ballooning population.
Duterte, however, advised women to take pills or injectables because condoms are not fun to use for men.
“May pills libre. Huwag ‘yang condom kasi hindi masarap ‘yang condom,” he said in a speech before returning Filipino workers from Kuwait on Tuesday (February 13).
