‘Di ‘yan Duterte! Palace outs husband of Pulong’s ex-wife as ‘judiciary fixer’
Malacañang has warned judges and justices against dealing with the husband of Lovelie Sangkola Sumera, who supposedly uses the name of President Rodrigo Duterte’s grandchild to fix cases.
Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque did not name Sumera’s husband as the fixer, but the reference was obvious when the topic was mentioned in a press briefing Monday (May 21).
“Alam na ho kung sino siya. Iisa lang naman ho iyong current husband ng isang ex-wife ng anak ng Presidente so nagkaintindihan na po tayo,” he said.
Sumera was the first wife of former Davao City vice mayor Paolo “Pulong” Duterte, the President’s son.
Roque appealed to judges and justices not to entertain favors from Sumera’s husband.
Roque warned that cases may be filed against Sumera’s husband if he does not stop fixing cases in the judiciary.
In a speech over the weekend, Duterte urged anyone to turn down requests from people who claim to know his family.
“I told everybody huwag, consider it denied and do not even — even think about talking about the project whether it is really for or against,” he said in Cebu City on May 19.
