Diretso sa quarantine: 13 BuCor personnel test positive for COVID-19
Thirteen Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) have been taken to a quarantine facility at the World Trade Center in Pasay City on Monday (June 8) after being tested positive with the 2019 coronavirus (COVID-19).
“The BuCor leadership extends its admiration and support to its personnel who continue to stand their ground in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic,” the BuCor said in a statement.
It said “the BuCor personnel quarantined there will stay for about two weeks to rest and recover.”
“This arrangement is done through partnership of Bucor, Bureau of Quarantine and the AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines),” it said.
The BuCor noted that the World Trade Center was converted into a quarantine facility to help decongest hospitals in Metro Manila and can house approximately 1,000 patients.
“Meanwhile, this Isolation facility has round-the-clock medical care provided by the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Health Service Command,” it added.
