Doc Willie Ong still happy despite poll defeat, will continue to help people in need
He may have lost in the senatorial elections but Dr. Willie Ong still feels happy and content with his fate.
Ong, in a Facebook post, said he considers his campaign a “victory” and his election loss as part of “God’s will.”
Wag malungkot. It’s a victory po,” he said.
He also thanked the 7 million voters who backed him in the polls.
“WOW! Sobra sobra pasasalamat sa BAWAT isa sa Inyo,” he said.
Ong said he ranked 23rd in the pre-election surveys but managed to land 18th place in the midterm polls despite the lack of campaign resources.
“God’s will po lahat iyan. I am very contented. Laking BLESSING na iyan sa atin,” he said.
“Biro mo. Wala campaign donations. Walang gastos. Wala TV, Radio Ads. Wala endorsement ng pulitiko. Halos walang Tarpaulin. Wala lahat. FB at PUSO lang. Naka-7.2 Milyon tayo! 50% awareness pa lang ako eh,” he said.
Ong also congratulated the winners in the senatorial race, and offered to give them health advice if necessary. “Ready ako tumulong sa lahat, basta para sa MAHIHIRAP,” he said.
He said he has promised God that he will continue to extend help to more people in need in the coming months.
