The government’s coronavirus (Covid-19) task force through Resolution No. 85 has approved the creation of the Data Resiliency for Ease Access and Management (DREAM) Team, Malacañang announced Friday.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said that DREAM Team will
be composed of ICT personnel from the Department of Information and Communications Technology, Department of Health, Department of Science and Technology, Philippine National Police-Directorate for Information and Communication Technology (PNP-DICTM), and Armed Forces of the Philippines-Information Systems Management Division (AFP-ISMD).
The Team won’t be involved in any data collection activities, but will help deploy, train, and provide support on the use of information systems like FASSTER and COVID-Kaya, explained Roque.
According to him, the involvement of the PNP-DICTM and the AFP-ISMD would supplement the ICT capacity needed.
“The creation of this ICT Team would empower LGUs to be more confident in using the ICT ecosystem that will help us defeat the Covid-19 pandemic,” he added.
