Due to COVID-19 threat: Valenzuela courts on lockdown until July 9
The Supreme Court (SC) said on Thursday (June 25) that the Valenzuela City Bulwagan ng Pangktarungan has been placed on lockdown due to possible exposure to the COVID-19 virus.
The SC said in its Twitter post that Valenzuela City Executive Judge Maria Nena Santos has already issued a memorandum which ordered the “temporary lockdown of the RTC-Bulwagang Pangkatarungan from June 25 until July 9, 2020.”
The magistrate gave the order after a court staff was found to be in contact with a person with COVID-19.
The court staff who suspected to have been exposed to the virus has already been told to undergo testing.
“However, if the confirmatory test is negative, in-court transactions will resume immediately,” the SC said.
In her memorandum, Santos said the Bulwagan will be physically closed, while, “judges and court personnel will be on quarantine…”
