Health Secretary Francisco Duque III has sent his congratulations to the passers of the medical board examinations.

Duque, in a post on Twitter, said he looks forward to working with the country’s doctors especially in extending health service to the public amid the pandemic.

“Congratulations to the 2020 Physician Licensure Exam passers! May kindness and love for country carry you through these extraordinary days,” Duque tweeted.

“We look forward to working with you as we transform our country into a pandemic-resilient and inclusive health system under the UHC (Universal Health Care) era,” he said.

More than 3,500 medical students passed the 2020 Physician Licensure Examination. UP Manila graduate Jomel Garcia Lapides topped this year’s licensure test for doctors with a score of 88.67%. Tricia Robredo, daughter of Vice President Leni Robredo, was among this year’s passers.
