Duterte admits poor Filipinos vulnerable targets of drug killing: There’s no way for them to hide

Poor Filipinos are more vulnerable in the administration’s bloody war against illegal drugs.
In a speech in Cagayan de Oro Wednesday, President Rodrigo Duterte admitted that his anti-drug campaign has led to the killing of people who come from the poor.
“Remember that shabu is the commodity of the poor. That is why there are many poor people die because there’s no way for them to hide,” according to the President.
“The rich people use cocaine. Alam ninyo ‘yan. They have yachts and huge houses. Unlike in Tondo, if you hit shabu, they can track you down,” he added.
The Philippine National Police said nearly 5,000 suspected drug pushers and users were killed between July 2016 and November 2018 in anti-drug operations.
