President Rodrigo Duterte asked the public to observe the guidelines of the enhanced community quarantine, saying also can’t fly back to Davao City due to travel restrictions from coronavirus.
“Itong quarantine natin enhanced o ano, it’s really intended to protect the other guy. Kung ayaw mo na maprotektahan ka, then the reason behind kung bakit ka pinipigilan is para sa kapwa tawo mo,” Duterte said Thursday evening.
In a televised public address, the President called on local government untis (LGUs) to adhere to the lockdown rules to contain the rapid spread of the deadly virus.
I’m calling on the LGUs to kindly just follow the direction or guidelines.
“Kung sang ayon ba yan sa instruction ko o rights of the people to travel eh malaking debate na yan, at saka ayaw kong makipag-quarrel with anybody, especially the mayor of Davao City na anak ko. Hindi magpapatalo yan. Magsisigawan lang kami, mukhang gago kami sa publiko,” he added.
