President Rodrigo Duterte has named Health Undersecretary Rolando Enrique Domingo as the new director-general of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Based on the list of presidential appointees released by Malacañang on Monday, Domingo was appointed on February 6, 2020.
It can be recalled that Domingo was appointed FDA officer-in-charge following the termination of Nela Charade Puno in May last year.
Puno was dismissed from her post for alleged corruption.
“This is line with the President’s continuing mandate to eradicate graft and corruption, and to ensure that public officials and employees conduct themselves in a manner worthy of public trust,” a statement from Malacañang read.
