Duterte ends ho-hum SONA with karaoke number with Philharmonic Orchestra as backup

President Rodrigo Duterte was more than one hour late for his State of the Nation Address.

Duterte’s speech lasted for roughly 90 minutes talking about rehashed topics he covered in his regular public engagements. But Duterte surprised everybody with an impromptu karaoke number at the main entrance of the Batasang Pambansa.

With the world-class Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra backing him up, Duterte crooned his favorite songs “Ikaw” and “Moon River.”

Duterte was so impressed with his backup band, he invited the classical music players to a night of song and dance in Malacanang.
